This is our first time visiting the Philippines with my family after we came to Korea 3-4 years ago. We decided to stay in Taguig for 2 days and 12 days in Dapitan, where the province of my mother is located. We couldn't stay more than that due to my high school. I was very excited imagining that I will go to spend my new year with my family and friends in the Philippines. Luckily, I have friends who are still getting in touch with. They were also glad when they heard about the news.
FACT: I am a half Korean-Filipino and I spent most of my elementary in the Philippines.
DAY 1
After the long and tiring flight, we finally arrived in manila at midnight. We moved to Taguig by taxi and stayed in my Nanay's (my aunt) place for 2 days. In the morning, I woke up early and went outside with my Tatay (uncle) to buy some Pandesal.

It is a Traditional Filipino bread that you can dip into the Cheese, Peanut butter and everything. Because it goes very well. I spent my day with my friend outside, we ate the popular Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee and went to the arcade.
DAY 2 (last day in manila)
I was so excited to get to meet my friends from 3rd grade elementary batch. At first, I met my friend Charyle and went to her house. I also saw her pet dog, Paris. He was a very cute puddle. Later, my other friend came in to meet me and we ate Adobong baboy cooked by Charyle's mom, which was so delicious. I still couldn't forget the spaghetti her mom made when we had a Christmas party 6 years ago. It was so good. My favorite Filipino dish is Sinigang, Lechon and Adobo. Well, It is a must-try food if you are planning to visit the Philippines. I was happy that I could try the Adobong Baboy for the first time in a long time. I had a great time talking with my friends about random things while having our meal. Since the Korean makeup products are worldwide famous, I brought some Lip Tint from Korea and gave them as a remembrance. Lip tint is also quite popular in the Philippines so I assumed that they would like it. Later in hour, more friends visited us just to see me and It was heart-touching. And I'll tell you, they were the friendliest people I've met. Sadly, they have school classes in the afternoon so we couldn't spend more time anymore. Despite, it was a short time, it was worthy.

Gladly, I had someone who was able to see me in the afternoon. My friend Bianca is very close to me so we met at the in front of Elementary school near my Nanay's place. We took a jeep and visited SM mall. And I was surprised there was a guard checking our bags before we get in. We took around the mall and bought some makeups in the Watsons. I bought some careline lippies, brow gel, and the popular Ever Bilena's lip and cheek gel tint. And we gathered some snacks in the coffee shop.

After that, we tried the Just Dance at the arcade. At first, I was shy. But my friend pushed me to dance with her so I had no choice. It was like giving zero care about people who were looking at us and we really had a fun time. In the evening, I met Ayumi and we took our dinner together with her mom. We ate halo-halo and siomai. And met my best friend Abegail, she nearly cried when she saw me and it was overwhelming. In the Philippines, they have a curfew at 10 pm so we also didn't have much time but we took a lot of pictures and it was memorable. I couldn't thank them enough. It's such a shame that I didn't get to spend more time with my cousins and didn't meet some of my friends. But I can visit Taguig next time again and will try to stay longer.
